Charleston’s burgeoning art scene is a joy to experience, with a myriad of galleries and styles of art on view. We would love to help you zero in on an insider’s tour of galleries led by a Charleston artist and former gallery owner, along with visits to local artists’ studios. There’s an option to complete your art-filled stay with a private lesson in pastels for two outside in our courtyard (weather permitting). Take home your own Charleston work of art.

In addition you will enjoy a private docent led tour of the Aiken Rhett House, a Charleston double house built in 1820 that stands as the most well preserved antebellum townhouse in the city. It is also recommended that you visit the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art on the College of Charleston campus.

Learn to sail with world class championship sailing instructors. The first of two classes turns the novice into competent sailors with a firm foundation in sailing fundamentals in a 3-day Basic Keelboat 1 class – teaching the basics of sailing and boat handling.
The US Sailing curriculum then progresses into an additional 3-day Basic Keelboat 2 course which focuses on the student’s ability to handle the boat in a variety of conditions and coordinate crew for both efficient sailing and safety. Students practice their new skills extensively on the water throughout the duration of each course.
You can be certified to sail solo in two long weekends spent on Charleston’s harbor. Keelboat 1 and Keelboat 2 classes are 3-days each and can also be combined.
