Tucked inside the restored 1800s main house at Zero George, the bar at Zero Restaurant + Bar offers a cozy, intimate respite from the bustle of downtown Charleston with beautifully crafted signature cocktails from bar manager Cody Held and elevated bites from Chef Vinson Petrillo.
This fall, Zero Restaurant + Bar is thrilled to continue its partnership with the acclaimed George Gallery, a contemporary art gallery owned by Anne Siegfried on Charleston’s Broad Street, with the launch of a rotating art installation featured in the bar. The series – titled the George x George Gallery in Residence – will rotate with works curated by Siegfried designed to give guests a glimpse into the world of contemporary American art.
The first installation of this collaboration will feature artists Catherine Erb, a self-taught fine-art photographer from Memphis, Otto Neumann, an expressionist painter and printmaker, and Allison Gildersleeve, an abstract expressionist painter based in Brooklyn. Come admire Neumann’s Untitled, Gildersleeve’s Ladder’s Edge, and even Erb’s Cloud Study 56.
Stop in to peruse the gallery over a cocktail and a bite to eat, and learn more about some of the nation’s leading contemporary artists.
