The 31st Annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival
Sunday, January 26 10:00AM to 5:00PM
It’s hard to deny how the Oyster holds a special place amongst The Holy City’s coastline and waterways.
On Sunday, January 26th, Charleston proclaims its yearly ode to the Oyster with The 31st Annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival. From 10:00am to 5:00pm, Boone Hall Plantation will host the world’s largest oyster roast with over 80 tons of shuck-able seafood.
If oysters aren’t your favorite, not to worry! The Festival’s food court will feature a variety of alternative restaurants, food trucks, and vendors including Jim ‘n Nicks BBQ, Red’s Ice House, The Windjammer, Wild Wing Cafe, and Zeus.
Explore Boone Hall’s sprawling grounds or cozy up to a pint at Southern Eagle and Budweiser’s mobile “Build-A-Bar”. Try your luck in one of the Oyster Eating or Oyster Shucking contests and listen to southern rockers Dead 27s perform live.
A VIP ticket option (available online) includes special entry, parking, access to an exclusive food and beverage tent, and a voucher for a bucket of oysters. Proceeds from the event will benefit local charities.
