Savory Snowbird Sojourn
With summer’s tourists on the wane and humidity long gone, fall is pure magic here in the Lowcountry. There’s nothing like waking up to an autumn Charleston morning and sipping espresso on our piazza—the air is bright and frisky, the day open for exploring. Or cruise down to the Battery on one of our complimentary bikes at sunset and witness the horizon turn into a magenta and fuchsia masterpiece. It’s a different show every evening—free and fabulous, and not to be missed.
This fall is, of course, election season, and here in Charleston all eyes are on the mayoral race—our first real race in 40 years. Meanwhile presidential candidates are busy campaigning and giving pundits plenty of fodder. But if you want to be sure your vote counts, give it to us! Zero George (once again!) is on a prestigious international ballot, this time for the 2015 Smith Hotel Awards, where Zero Café is a contender (among an impressive line-up, we must say) for Best Hotel Restaurant. Please log on, vote, share with your friends, and make us a winner. Act fast, voting ends September 30!
And if you feel compelled to be an informed voter and do a little research before giving us your nod, now’s the perfect time to try Zero Café and Bar. Chef Vinson Petrillo’s always unique, always stellar Tasting Menu (choose either five or nine courses, with beverage pairings) is one of Charleston’s most dynamic dining experiences.
And whether you’re a hotel guest or a Charleston local, boost your mood at our Happy Hour, Tuesday through Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m. (and post your “toast” #happyatzero).
With our Fall/Winter Package, enjoy a $100 dining credit when you stay three nights—easy-to-swallow (and delicious) savings. This special promotion is available for stays from November 9, 2015 through February 10, 2016.
Whether you’re coming to eat, drink, shop and be merry as we head toward the holidays, or to take in a performance at our gorgeous newly renewed neighbor, the grandly elegant Gaillard Center—literally just 50 steps from Zero’s door—fall and winter is the ideal time to visit Zero George. So make your plans now. We’re looking forward to seeing you.
